System shock release date 20183/2/2024 The anticipated third installment of the System Shock franchise is a long way off as well being described as in the “early concept stages of development. PC Developer: Night Dive Studios Publisher: Night Dive Studios Genre: Action Release Date. The game is set aboard a space station in a cyberpunk vision of the year 2072. It was directed by Doug Church with Warren Spector serving as producer. Neither the PC version of the game or the PS4 version has a concrete release date with PC version slated for a 2017 release date and the PS4 version expected in Q1 2018. System Shock is a 1994 first-person action-adventure video game developed by LookingGlass Technologies and published by Origin Systems. The studio is also working with the original voice actor for the evil AI, SHODAN. Nightdive has acquired help from all over, including devs from “ Planetside, Fallout, and even the original System Shock“. “It’s still early in the project, but there was such a huge demand for a PS4 version that we immediately did what we could to make that happen.” With that demand and the extra workload, the team needs the best, which they have, according to Fader. The reason for the PS4 version, Fader says, was the demand for it. Your tools are your wits, weapons you find, computer systems to hack, and corners you can hide in. No pressure, right? Oh, and you’ll be facing her monstrous constructs and warped mutations of humans along the way. You need to survive and defeat her, or mankind will be lost. You’re trapped on a space station with a megalomaniacal AI bent on mankind’s destruction named SHODAN. The project was originally announced in 2016 via Kickstarter and was scheduled to arrive for PS4 in 2018. For those unfamiliar with the game Fader helpfully gives his own description of the game. The System Shock remake has been in the works for quite some time now.
