Benji-Sales NovemCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a runaway success on Steam Modern Warfare II + Warzone 2.0 is a gigantic turn around after last year Vanguard performance /UhtMDyRju7 On Steam alone it's propelled Modern Warfare II to 450k+ Concurrent Players shattering the previous series record set by MW2 just a couple weeks ago After a few dark years, it really looks like Call of Duty is on its way to reclaiming the top spot as ‘the’ shooter on the market. That is a huge number, no matter how you look at it. As of right now, there are about 450k concurrent players on Cod: Modern Warfare 2. With the successful launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 on November 16, it seems that Modern Warfare two has gotten the CoD rub and risen to the top of the Steam charts after its release. And from its position on the Steam charts, I think that sentiment goes for a lot of other people, too. After a long absence on the digital distribution platform, Call of Duty is back on Steam and if reports are to be believed, the game is smashing the Steam charts. (In my experience, BattleBit Remastered is actually pretty well moderated players will certainly indulge in voice chat memeing, but I’ve personally seen both cheating and hate speech quickly squelched by the system.) It’s the FPS I need right now. I can hop in, join a random squad, and revel in the sounds of overblown anime music booming through headsets. More than just being a better Battlefieldoption, BattleBit is a more relaxing multiplayer shooter than most of the others in my life. I hop in, play some games, and log off whenever I feel like it. With BattleBit, I put down $15 and got a solid shooter with an absolutely massive player count. I won’t be pushed to run through certain content, or play in roles I’m not really interested in, or reminded of the cool skins that are only in the shop for X more days. When I boot up BattleBit Remastered, I’m not reminded of a content treadmill of dailies I need to complete. It’s funny that a game that doesn’t have built-in engagement drivers is doing a better job at keeping me engaged than those that do, but it’s true.
